Hand-crafted in the Tokoname region of Japan, this customary flat kyūsu seamlessly integrates tradition and modernity.

Mainly used for brewing delicate green tea such as gyokuro, this refined unglazed matt black teapot can be poured single-handedly. The side hollow handle insulates against heat and is designed for ease of use — down to the last golden drops.

There may be some surface irregularity, which should be celebrated.

Rinse the teapot with water before first use. Wash by hand only (no detergent) and dry well after each use. Do not scrub the inside. Do not use on a stove top.

Kami, meaning paper, are multifunctional vessels designed by OJI Masanori. Each cup is hand carved by skilled woodturners of Takahashi Kougei, to just millimetres thick, from a solid piece of Castor Aralia wood — sustainably grown in Hokkaido, Japan.

While preserving the look and feel of wood, these cups have a modern sensibility. They are smooth, lightweight, warm to touch and suitable for hot and cold beverages.

Care: Hand wash with a soft sponge and mild detergent.

Caution: To avoid stains, do not leave dark liquids inside the cup for prolonged periods of time. Beware of burns as the material is not conducive to heat. Do not use in microwave or an oven.
